He was born on April 10, 1974 in Antakya. He completed primary and high school in Mersin, Kütahya and Denizli. He received his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1991-1997.
In 1998, he started his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. He received the title of Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist in 2003.
Between 2003 and 2005, he worked as a Research Fellow on spinal diseases at Hennepin Medical Center and Twin Cities Spine Center in Minnesota, USA. During this period, he took part in various projects on spine biomechanics and spine diseases and carried out scientific studies.
He returned to Turkey in 2005 and started his academic life as an Instructor in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Başkent University.
He completed his military service in Van Military Hospital between 2007-2008.
Continuing his academic life at Başkent University as an Assistant Professor in 2008, he received the title of Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2011 and Professor Doctor in 2017. As of February 2020, it continues to work in the Orthogroup Clinic.
He is a member of Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology, Turkish Spine Society and European Spine Society. He is a member of the Turkish Spine Association Board of Directors.
He is married and has 1 child.
